Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to soak my Bib and Tucker nappies?

No!!! Our nappies are lined with stain resistant fabric. Infact, it is better for the nappy that you don't, you'll only be soaking the smell into the nappy and reducing it's life span! Simply dry pail your nappies & liners until you are ready to wash. Place them in the washing machine on a cold/warm rinse cycle to remove any residue. Then wash on a full cycle with half the amount of laundry liquid or powder (we recommend Ecostore which is available from your supermarket or health shop). It is useful to add in a couple of drops of tea tree oil to the wash, to sanitise and keep you nappies smelling fresh:-). Alternatively, you can use half a cap full of 'Canestan Rinse Aid' (which is also available from your supermarket) to sanitise, although the tea tree does the same job for a fraction of the price, and it is completely natural too!

* Please read the washing instructions on your illustrated pockets carefully. Do not use washing powders/liquids which contain oxygen whiteners as the particles will attach themselves to the illustrations and dull the colours :-(((. Please contact us if you have any questions.

To minimise smells in your nappy bucket, simply place a couple of drops of tea tree/lavender oil on a small piece of fabric and keep this in the nappy bucket. It is a great idea to have enough nappies to last 2 - 3 days so you don't run out and to avoid having to wash every day (as much as we love cloth nappies!).
