Frequently Asked Questions

How many nappies do I need?

It depends on whether you are going to use a pocket or cover system, or a mixture of the two. And, how often do you want to wash?

A newborn baby will need changing up to 12 times a day, so if you are using pockets you'll need a good stash of at least 16 to cover yourself, washing every day. Pockets do dry very quickly and can be tumble dried on low if needed. With covers, you can get away with airing between changes, so 4-6 should be sufficient for a little baby. A good two dozen inserts & liners to go with your covers would be a good idea to stock up on for those early runny poo days!

Once your baby grows you will need less nappies, changing 3 - 4 hourly is sufficient for most older children. So, a good 6 pockets a day, with the appropriate inserts. Remember, newborn inserts are ideal as boosters in larger nappies too.
